Jenn Howland is a 5-time Junior National Champion and 7-time Junior All American triathlete. She began her racing career in 2003, racing in a local kid’s triathlon. She competed in her first nationals’ race at the age of 11.
EP: What was your first endurance race?
JH: My First Endurance race was a local Delnor (Geneva, IL) kid’s triathlon in 2001. It was a lot of fun and I was instantly hooked.
EP: What is your biggest athletic accomplishments so far?
JH: My biggest athletic accomplishment so far is being a 5-time Junior National Champion and 7-time Junior All-American, representing Team USA.

EP: What are some of your 2014 goals?
JH: I’ve been training hard and will be making a push to get my pro card this year. I would also like to get a podium finish at the 2014 ITU Aquathlon World Championships.

Dehydration Results In Lower Blood Pressure And Slows Bodily Processes. Active individuals should be aware of the acute effects of dehydration on performance. With just a 2% loss of water in the body, heat regulation becomes impacted. With a 3% drop in body weight from water loss, muscle cell contraction is impacted. And at 4% loss, there is 5-10% reduction in overall performance that can last up to 4 hours.
