Jen Howland, an EnduroPacks' Ambassador, went into this weekends ITU World Triathlon Championships in Chicago with high hopes, and she did NOT go home disappointed. Jen won her AG (20-24) , finishing in 2:09:05 in the Olympic distance race. That's quite an accomplishment, and shows her dedication to training for this big race. Jen recently moved to the west coast to train with some elite level triathletes and continue to improve upon her racing results. Dehydration Results In Lower Blood Pressure And Slows Bodily Processes. Active individuals should be aware of the acute effects of dehydration on performance. With just a 2% loss of water in the body, heat regulation becomes impacted. With a 3% drop in body weight from water loss, muscle cell contraction is impacted. And at 4% loss, there is 5-10% reduction in overall performance that can last up to 4 hours.
