#CyclistProfile Italy's Vincenzo Nibali Wins the 2014 Tour de France

Vincenzo Nibali won the Tour de France today, becoming the first Italian in 16 years to triumph in cycling’s greatest race! Vincenzo was born November 14th, 1984. He is an Italian professional road bicycle racer, and is considered one of the strongest stage race riders in the world today! Nibali rides for the Kazakhstani UCI ProTeam Astana.

Astana team leader, Nibali, is only the sixth rider to win all three Grand Tours – France, Italy, and Spain. He won stage 1 of the Tour de France when his rival Mark Cavendish crashed in the last sprint. Nibali also won four stages, something only Tour winner Lance Armstrong has done before. He wore the yellow jersey for all but two stages since Stage 1.
