Fueling and Recovery Tips From an Elite Triathlete and Coach

Felipe Loureiro is a Mio Global and EnduroPacks ambassador, elite triathlete and coach with the Breakaway Training Team in San Diego.  He recently competed in and finished the Haute Route Alps which included 75,000 ft of climbing.  Participating in a race like this involves proper nutrition and recovery.  Below is a sample day of nutrition (before, during, and after) for coach Felipe.

BEFORE:

  • 1-bowl of granola with almond milk and banana
  • 1-Greek yogurt with honey 
  • 1-spoon of EnduroPacks Liquid Multi-Vitamin

DURING:

  • 1-bottle of Fluid Performance with EnduroPacks Electrolyte Spray every hour 
  • 1-Bonk Breaker bar every 75 minutes

AFTER:

  • soon as finish: Essential Amino Recovery Patch
  • 10-minutes after finishing the Stage: 1 to 2 bottles of recovery drink (Fluid chocolate) and 4 tablets of EnduroPacks EnduroGlutamine
  • 30-minutes after finish the Stage: plate of pasta with chicken
