Letters From Our Customers: Hydration Tips From Los Angeles Marathoner

Distance Runner and Boston Marathon Qualifier Sara Randolph

Above Normal Temps Expected At LA Marathon/Olympic Trials

We decided to repost a customer's letter to us following her 2014 LA marathon where temperatures reached 85 degrees:

Accomplished distance runner and mother of four, Sara Randolph wrote:

"I used the electrolyte spray in 2 of my fuel belt bottles during the race. As I emptied the bottles during the race, I would grab some water from the aid station to add to my empty bottles and add the spray after I cleared the congestion of the aid station - it worked great!

I saw many runners cramping throughout the race but I had no problems during or after the race at all! The bottle was easy to carry in my fuel belt pouch and easy to squirt into the water bottles while running. Temperatures reached 85 degrees at the finish.  I was running the marathon with a friend, so I was not racing for time on Sunday.

I put on my Amino Recovery patch after my shower and took my Glutamine Recovery just before bed that night and woke up with very little soreness in my muscles on Monday morning. Today is Tuesday and I'm feeling great!

Thanks for making such a great line of products!" - Sara Randolph
